L'inconscient freudien entre science et fiction

Isabelle Alfandary

Résumé

This article seeks to examine the circumstances and motivations of Freud’s departure from neurology – and more generally speaking from medicine – as well as from psychology in order to found a separate and independent science : psychoanalysis. This science however happens to be built on an epistemological anomaly : the hypothesis of the unconscious. The underlying strategy and the implications resulting from this decision are inseparable from Freud’s scientific claims for psychoanalysis.
