Attendu que la littérature : de Job à Abraham, via Bartleby
Keywords:
Melville, Herman, Bartleby, Derrida, Jacques, Address, SecretAbstract
This paper focuses on Derrida's philosophical approach to literature as evolving from his reading "Bartleby the Scrivener" as a token of literature's open secret ("secret sans secret") and "destinerrance".It is concerned with how Derridian philosophy addresses and is addressed by Melville's text and creates its own concept of address out of the interweaving of three formulas of address (Bartleby's, Abraham's, Job's).Ce texte se penche sur un cas particulier de lecture philosophique de la littérature, plus exactement sur l'importance accordée par Jacques Derrida à "Bartleby the Scrivener" comme figure du "secret sans secret" de la littérature, sa "destinerrance".Il s'agit en fait de voir comment la philosophie derridienne s'adresse (à) ce texte de fiction et construit sa formule de l'adresse à partir de trois autres (celles de Bartleby, d'Abraham et de Job) en les entretissant de manière révélatrice.Downloads
